This is a note to remind you about the AISD Salute tomorrow at the AISD PAC from 5-8PM. I will outline the schedule below. A note that we are going to be playing the same program we played on the trip at UT Brownsville, tomorrow before the event sharply at 5PM. If you want to hear that really amazing program in an amazing venue, please come out to watch! Try to get there before 5 so we can record without any interruptions, thank you.
2:45pm – Students report to orchestra room. Pizza provided to students to eat before we leave. Feel free to send in drinks for the students to share during this time (please no caffeine). 4:00pm – Bus arrives at KMS to take us to AISD PAC 4:30-5 – Set up/ warm up 5-5:30 – Kealing Orchestra on main stage to play their South Padre program. We will be recording this for possible submission to honor orchestra, so please help people around you stay as quiet as possible. 5:30-6:15 – Kealing Orchestra on main stage to play music while people arrive/mingle. 6:30-8 – AISD Teacher Salute. Kealing orchestra remains on stage to play excerpts during the event to accompany the action on stage. 8: Event is over. Please be at the AISD PAC to pick up your child at this time as we have no bus back to KMS. Again, we want to thank you and your child for being so generous and flexible with their time and effort. With so many events in this week, we do recognize and appreciate that this is quite an undertaking for middle school students. Please know that they are only being invited to perform at these types of events because they are a great ensemble and people in this district believe that they represent some of the best of what is going on in AISD. You should be proud of their hard work, Mr. Jarrott and I definitely are. Ms. B

Great Job Philharmonic and Symphony orchestras on your performances at the Gulf Coast Showcase of Music in South Padre! We are so proud of your hard work and your maturity this weekend. We had a great trip and are so glad it went off without a hitch (with the exception of a few sunburns!). Well done to All
Just a note to let you know that the Symphony had a great time working with Maestro Peter Bay today in class. The students and Mr. Jarrott and I enjoyed his input and his direction. What a treat for this group to work with a world-class conductor and wonderful educator!
