Hello Orchestra Members and Parents!
This is a note for those students in Hornet, Concert, and Philharmonic Orchestra that are going on the trip to the Alamo Showcase of Music this Friday. Parents, hopefully you have seen and reviewed the packet of information that went home a few weeks ago with details about the schedule and expectations for the trip. We are also still waiting for a few more travel forms from some students. They cannot travel with us without giving us the form. I just wanted to share a few reminders with you before Friday to make sure we all get to the right place with the right stuff. Please do the following: · Have orchestra students meet in the cafeteria at 5 AM. Be dressed in uniform ready for a performance. · Have instruments and all necessary equipment to play including your music. · Bring with you a change of clothes for the park INCLUDING THE GREEN TRIP SHIRT. (See the packet for a more detailed list of suggested items to bring) · Stay fed and hydrated. Bring water and snacks along for the bus rides. · Give your respect to directors and chaperones. Listen when they talk and do what they ask in a quick manner. · Bring some money for the park. A meal ticket is provided for only one meal. · In the park, stay with the group to establish home base, use the buddy system when walking around, and remember your check-in time. · Have a good performance and enjoy your time at the park!
